Scenic Element – Create a Focal Point

How many times have you heard, “We need to find a way to draw attention to our booth?” or “How can we have a big ‘wow’ factor without spending a lot on having something made?” We have a solution for these questions. We call it, “The Tree of Life”.

This large-scale spandex sculpture creates an eye-catching focal point that can draw attention at your event. This sculpture has been used as:

  • The canopy over a newly-introduced product
  • The canopy over the center of a trade show booth
  • The centerpiece for hosted bars at a reception
  • A staging element for a corporate meeting
By adding moving lights, this sculpture becomes a very dynamic element at any event. Use gobos to project your company logo or event theme on the panels. There are countless ways to use it. The structure has only six rigging points so it is easy to set up. It can be used to open up or down, depending upon your space requirements, or your mood.

We Stand Behind Our Lecterns

Your next event is coming up and one task on your list is: “Find a way to dress up the standard lectern you get from the facility”. We have a solution that your presenters will enjoy standing behind. Dress up your event with one of these acrylic or truss lecterns. They bring a fresh look to the average stage. Accent lighting makes these acrylic lecterns shimmer with excitement. Custom logos can be added and lit inside the lectern to give the audience the impression that the podium was custom made for this particular event.
Providing your audience with a customized lectern, sends a strong branded message to your audience.

Lighting Options - Rosco LitePad™

We can now offer you one more lighting option for your next project. The Rosco LitePad™ is a light source that generates a soft even beam of light and almost no heat.

We recently used the LitePad™ in a set design to backlight the client’s logo on the podium. The translucent vinyl logo was easily affixed to the LitePad™ eliminating any shadowing or last minute focusing of lights that typically happens when positioning your sign to the podium.

The Rosco LitePad™ is small and light weight, making it ideal for use in many places where a larger, typical luminaire could not fit It can also be used as accent lighting for scenery, backstage applications, and display illumination.

Audio Solutions – Dolby® Lake Processor

Allow Hoffman to design the audio needs for your next meeting or event in advance and save money on set up time. Our tool, the Dolby® Lake Processor, provides greater flexibility for our audio engineer to optimize your audience’s sound experience. The wireless tablet PC and overall systems controller enhances sound from any seat in the room and can store key venue information.

We have successfully used the Dolby® Lake Processor on recent shows in these venues: The Depot, Mariucci Arena, Hilton Towers Hotel, Minneapolis Convention Center, RiverCentre, Sheraton South Hotel, Roy Wilkins Auditorium, and the Minnesota Vikings Winter Park indoor training facility.

Hoffman Offers “Visual Teleconferences”

Hoffman Medical Marketing and Education offers customers the option of doing “visual teleconferences” that combine the visual capabilities of the Internet with the ease and informality of telephone conferencing. For its clients, Hoffman is producing and editing short video clips and combining them with digital photos, graphs, charts and audio in Flash programs that are hosted online as visual materials.

At regularly-scheduled class times, trainers and trainees go to the internet site and call into a phone teleconference bridge to conduct training sessions over the phone interacting with the same visual materials.

Using telephone conference lines facilitates free-flowing conversations as trainers and audience members discuss the same images and content. The advantage is cost and convenience— people don’t have to take days out of busy schedules to travel. They can conduct and attend training sessions from anyplace in the world, and they can benefit from interacting with live experts from the convenience of their office or home.

Where in the World is Hoffman?

Hoffman Communications’ field production teams have been busy this summer, shooting at locations throughout the Twin Cities, as well as throughout the United States. Our clients have sent us on location to Arizona, Texas, Michigan, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska, and Illinois, to name a few. While our crews certainly enjoy home cooking like the rest of us, they’re more than happy to bring their excellent compositional eye, lighting talents, in-field audio expertise, quick shot setup and tear-down expertise, and first-rate client skills to one of your branch offices. Hoffman owns cameras that allow us to shoot in multiple formats, including High-Def, Beta SP, DVCPro, and DV minicam. Please call your Hoffman Account Executive and ask how our field production units can make your next video… or DVD… or webcast look and sound perfect.
