Davey Awards

Hoffman Communications, Inc. received three prestigious International Davey Awards honoring the finest creative work from the best small firms, agencies, and companies worldwide by the International Academy of the Visual Arts.

Coveted Silver Daveys were awarded for “Mission: Pretty Darn Difficult”, produced for Woodbury Financial Services, “Pre-surgery Video Tour”, produced for Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, and for “Webisode #3: Studio”, produced for Hoffman Communications, Inc.

In 2008, Hoffman Communications will mark its 20th Anniversary

What started out as a one-man operation in Mark Hoffman’s basement has become a thirtyfive person firm with three locations: an 18,000 square foot corporate headquarters housing the creative services staff and four post-production suites, a 15,000 square foot warehouse full of staging gear, lighting and audio equipment, a 3000 square foot live studio, a fleet of vehicles, and some of the most talented people in the Midwest to exceed our client’s expectations.

But it’s not the equipment or the facilities that define Hoffman Communications. It’s the people. Our seasoned veterans have skillfully handled every situation imaginable. When it comes to hiring, we strive to find individuals with creativity, talent, and a passion for excellence, serving our clients, and improving upon the industry standards.

A group of people like this, all under one roof, magic happens! We’re constantly searching for creative ways to execute projects, even when we’ve exceeded our client’s expectations.

Our curiosity leads us to new technologies and techniques that not only save time and labor, but also add beauty and excitement to sets, presentations, and videos. And if the tools or enhancements can’t be found on the open market, we build them ourselves. Our high standards and creativity have guided us through twenty years of growth, and through the thicket of technologies that we embrace and utilize to deliver results for our clients. We have every confidence that these same core values will guide us through the next twenty years.

We are extremely proud of what we have accomplished, and even more excited to see what we can do for you in the future!

Hoffman Helps Vikings turn ’07 Season Around

The Viking’s season has been one of up’s and down’s. Running backs Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor have turned things around on the field, and Hoffman Communications, Inc. has turned things around in the stands. After a decade with their previous vendor, Hoffman was awarded the Game-Day audio and communications tasks. Our twenty years of experience and skill created a game day experience for Viking fans that is second to none in the NFL.

All of the game day audio needs inside and outside of the Metrodome are handled by Hoffman, as are the communications for the production staff. And when ESPN rolls into town to feature the Vikings on their game of the week, we deliver a seamless show from the national anthem to the coach’s final handshake.

When we recalibrated the Metrodome’s audio system, fans thought the music and videos had been remixed because the audio could be heard clearly and without delay from every seat, when in fact it was our expertise coming through loud and clear.

Special effects make the game opening sequence an experience that can only be fully appreciated in person. To enhance the illusion of the Vikings’ players entering the field from the Viking ship, Hoffman built a fog machine that looks fabulous from the stands and even better on close-up video shots.
