The Mother of all Conventions is coming!
If you’re not planning to be a part of the Republican National Convention, you might want to rent your house to a conventioneer and get out of town!
The activity is buzzing around this massive event now that the party is close to nominating a candidate. The convention at Xcel Energy Center from September 1-4 is expected to draw nearly 35,000 people, and the projected new revenue to Minnesota is estimated at $160 million.
Given the complex logistics of a celebration this size, we’ve teamed up with Twin Cities Strategies (TCS) to provide insightful information about the convention and its ancillary activities. By creating a single-source, database directory of metropolitan facilities and event spaces, we’re poised to provide timely recommendations and solutions based on solid information.
Many of our trusted service providers from around the country are joining us with gear and expertise. Transportation management, audiovisual crews, hospitality staff and event project managers are all climbing on board.
GoogleTM, a major contributor to the convention, has created www.GOPConvention2008.com, the convention’s official web site featuring a full-range of GoogleTM products and customized search tools. The convention's YouTube channel will enable visitors to upload, view, and share online videos, which is another area where Hoffman comes in.
By offering StreamIt!, a process that records, captures, and quickly streams video, we make it easy to capture and send videos anywhere in the world. Our fully equipped studio in Minneapolis’ Itasca Building features fiber connectivity for live and taped feeds whether it’s for C-SPAN, YouTube or the BBC, we’re ready!
… and this is only the beginning!
